Last Minute Inexpensive Ideas For Holiday Home Decoration - Cubicle Chic Last Minute Inexpensive Ideas For Holiday Home Decoration Home Life, Lifestyle December 23, 2017 4 CommentsWe are literally a couple of days away from Christmas. Most of us have been enjoying our holiday and/or Christmas decoration probably since the beginning of the month. But in case you are having guests over this weekend and are looking for some last minute ideas, I got a few for you!I literally whipped these decorations together last week right before my Friendsmas Party. So they are VERY, very easy to source and put together. Places youâd have to go to source these materials: Dollar Tree, Home Depot, Hobby Lobby, Michaelâs, and as always, Target!Buy a Christmas Wreath: OK I know this isnât exactly an insightful tip. But Christmas wreaths really are those decorations that just set the tone for your entire house or apartment! There are many inexpensive options from the stores I mentioned above. But if you want something thatâs just a little more exquisite, Silk Plants Direct offers beautifully crafted holiday wreaths on their w ebsite. I was blown away when I received it in the mail⦠the colors are gorgeous, the decorative pieces are intricately strewn together, and it looks amazing. The only downside was that a couple of the pine cones had fallen off during shipping. It didnât take much effort to glue them back on, but I thought I would mention that.Silk Plants Direct (c/0): Hydrangea, Helleborus, Pine Cone Wreath â" Green Red Table Centerpiece: This centerpiece features a $1 religious candle from Dollar Tree and miniature Christmas wreath from Trader Joeâs with a few festive bows with wires. If youâre in a cat household like I am and cannot have a Christmas tree (see the reason why here), having a little wreath like the one I got from Trader Joeâs makes up for it a lot. Itâs made of real fir leaves and pine cones so it has the lovely tree fragrance! Fireplace mantel decoration: This entire area features some holiday faux-fur knit stockings from Target, lighted (with Philips string light s) metal Christmas tree and other faux-plants from Michaelâs. Remember, a lot of these items go on sale right after Christmas⦠so if you are the kind fo plan ahead, donât forget to snatch up some of these super cute decorations comes December 26th! Lighted glass wine carafe with Christmas Ornament: This is probably my proudest creation. The glass water carafe was something we just had hanging around the house. I shoved a set of Philips battery operate dewdrop lights we bought from either Target or Home Depot.. canât remember. Lastly, I added some Christmas ornament/decoration branches from Michaels that I bought a few weeks ago for a photoshoot. Voila â" I have a lighted Christmas vase! Lighted cork board for collecting holiday cards from friends and family: This is a similar trick to #4. All I did here was lined our bulletin board with the same battery operated Philips battery operate dewdrop lights and it instantly gave the board a holiday vibe!Thatâs it. I hope my last minute and inexpensive holiday decoration tips were helpful. Show me a picture of you used any of these tips⦠I might feature them on Cubicle Chic Instagram page!

Heres What You Really Sound Like In Job Interviews - TheJobNetworkYou thought you nailed yur last interview. You thought you made a great first impression. You totally answered all the tough interview questions they threw at you, asked them interesting and smart questions. And when they asked you if you had anything to add, you totally had stuff to add. googletag.cmd.push(function() googletag.display(div-gpt-ad-1467144145037-0) ) This video by Fastcompany highlights the most common mistakes people make at job interviews. See, theres what you say during a job interview, and then theres what they hear.Often in interviews, generic answers do not go down well. Your responses to questions are going to be interpreted, and any deviation from what your interviewer wants to hearmight reflect poorly on you during the interview. This doesnt mean they are inherently impossible to master they just require a little careful thinking and planning. Rememberwhen going into an interview, the worst thi ng you can do is come unpreparedYou say Sorry Im late, there was so much traffic. This might be true. You never know when it comes to public transportation. I habitually leave way earlier than I have to and amstill sometimes late because the 4 and 5 trains decide to break down for 30 minutes. But this doesnt matter, becauseThey hear I just dont care about your time It sucks. But what can you do? Just dont be late. You say What happened with my last job? This type of question is actually less about your actual skills, and more about your character. You say Do I have any questions for you? Yes, whats your vacation policy like?Dont Just dont ask this question, no matter how innocently you askThey hear I cant wait to not be at my new job You only start talking about benefits when youve actually been offered the job.You say I am a gruppe player and a people person.Although its fine to mention that you are a team player and work well with others, always make sure to back up this assertion with examples, or else it just sounds clich. They hear all I have to offer you areclichs.
